Are you sure you aren't being influenced by the Eleanor from the movie? To me, there is nothing more Classic Mustang than a 64-66. After that, the concept starts to fade into bigger and bulkier cars with padded steering wheels.
totally agree. the real mustang is the original body style. They just got bigger and bigger later on. I think iacocco said it best that 67 was a bloated pig or some such, the curves and design of the original is best, but to each their own.

I stick with my 66, driving across the US i saw 4 other 65/66, a couple of 67's a couple of 68's and a few of those underequipped xr7 clones from the 70's, they called mustangs...

It is our individualism that seperates us. If you lika de 67 or 68's better, then go for it.

67 side scoops are diff than 68 other than that purty much the same bunny. and all 67 interior fit inside 68 so it's an easy swap if you like the best of both.
Personnaly I just love the 67 both inside an out. And not cause of nick cage. I love my coupe it's awesome. It's like a 66 that's been working out at the gym all summer but not takin andro like the 69 and up cars

Am I the only one who couldn't tell you if my life depended on it what movie this Eleanor thing came from? I'm still in my thirties and listen to punk, but I guess I'm not up to snuff on my pop culture. []
