I may be wrong, but isnt that link in the first post an original setup? And 575 is about the best Ive seen on the net, but you can get it half that price at a local store if you put it together yourself. And shipping is going to kill you.
Can you really get it at a local parts store at half that price?

Ok, I added it up and maybe not HALF, but a hell of a lot less. Personally I dont need some of the parts becuase my car already has old granada brakes on it, so it will be about half for me.

Even still, your going to cut shipping which will easily be 60-100 bucks I would think...

$575 doesnt sound bad, 1/2 off sounds even better.

I have beenthinking about getting front disc and have read some postand FAQ artcles, I missed the part were 14" rims wont work. It will run me a bit more having to look at new wheels, etc.

Any applications out there for 14 " rims?

Yes, the only parts Im going to reuse is the spindles and the caliper brackets, but that alone cuts alot off the price. I think a nice set of spindles on ebay are about 75...

Dennis' kit (discbrakeswap) comes with new spindles, and the spindle geometry has been corrected for 65-66 to prevent the bump steer issues associated with the swap. Hope this helps

Thanks so much for the ideas something else I was wondering is with some other upgrades I had in mind being a problem. I've looked at the rack and pinion set and all use original suspension set ups from what I've understood. Now some of the suspension upgrade kits I've looked at have said for use with the stock disc brake spindles. I was just wondering I have 4 drum on now obviously. What would be the best suspension kit to go with this without any conflicts. I'm not going for an all out track car, but I do want it to be an above average DD. Once I've decided on the brakes and suspension and those are in think its going to be a 347 stroker next..But I'm in planning stages any suggestions?

Check out Maier for suspension.

Their setup isn't too expensive and seems to work.
