Some guys prefer to get it running and on the road first, then start the bodywork projects. I see their way of thinking. If you are just wanting to see and feel how it runs to get you excited about the rest of the restoration, then go that direction as well. I don't believe there is a manual written on how to restore one, but there are a bunch of articles in the FAQ about what the pros suggest.
Well I dont exactly have the option to get it "drivable" it has no engine nothing, its completely gutted, im not worried if it takes 5 years to get it driveable i just want it to be done correct. Just having some issues trying to figure out where to start. I got the floor pans in the garage and cowl pieces so yeahh haha im ready to get going on something.
Cowl seems a logical place to start.then floors, underbocy etc. before the body. You don't want to be bangin up fresh body work when repairign the other stuff. Do the outside last.
I have read many times where it is absolutely the hardest job to accomplish. One of the biggest problems is that you have well over a hundred spot welds that you have to drill out with a special drill bit. That takes a lot of time and of course energy. Frustrating work. I guess start with that, then everything else will seem like a breeze.
