Default 67 Alternator Wiring

Im trying to figure out the wiring coming from the alternator, i have yet to find a wiring diagram that specifies where each wire goes from each post on the alternator, my mustangs charging system isnt working and alot of the wires are all screwy and jimmy rigged, could someone tell me where each wire goes? thanks in advance.

If you buy a new harness is will be easy. The harness comes with a connector that will only allow you to hook it up one way. I do know that you only hook up the ground the Batt and the field terminals. Batt and ground should be easy to figure out. Field will be the one left over. You don't hook up the stator.

i hooked up everything right and im still getting no charge to my battery, i then took my alternator to the auto parts store and they said it was bad, i bought a new one and its the same thing, no charge. I have the BAT terminal hooked to the battery, the white plastic terminal going to the voltage regulator on the terminal furthest to the right, and the alternator is grounded. Any ideas as to why i wouldnt be getting a charge at all? shouldnt i be getting a charge no matter what if my BAT terminal has a wire running directly to the posotive terminal?

No I think that only supplies power to excite the field on the altenator.

Than what sends power from the alternator to the battery/solenoid?

Did you replace the voltage regulator as well when you replaced the alternator? If not, then do it.

Power goes from the Batt/solenoid to the alt not the other way around. The output of the alt goes to the regulator.
