Horn not working
I tested the horn today, cause I need it to work for state inspection, and no luck. I see the wires from the horns go to a 4 position connector on the far right (drivers) side of the firewall. After this, I can't find it inside the cab. Anyone know the color of it?
edit: Just found out it should be blue-yellow
Anyone know where to start on getting this to work? I've heard problems with something about the turn signal switch. When I got the car, there was a "Ford Motor Company" white box in the trunk and inside was a turn signal switch - apparently the old one which was replaced.
Sorry, rambling...any ideas on where to start? Thanks

Okay, bringing this one back...
I had a friend tell me a trick to see where the problem was. I took a piece of wire I found and pressed the horn ring in. I then took the wire and touched the two screws with the springs around them. This made the horns honk, so I know that the horns aren't screwed up, and the electricity is getting there. Now, where do I go from here? Which part will I need to buy to correct the problem? I assume that it is not making contact, though to be honest, I don't understand the whole process
Thanks

The contacts on these old horns wear out, so you have to break a fuse into, and get all the glass out. Then use the metal caps to cover the contact points. That way, it will make contact, and you will once again have a horn.

Ahhh....
This is driving me nuts. I replaced the rubber grommet in the horn button. Now, I can barely get the horn ring onto the wheel??? It's the same size grommet, so I can't see why it is doing this. After much frustration, I took the plate in the horn ring (with the 2 contacts on it) and put it on the center of the wheel. I checked and there IS contact. Why is it still not honking? Thanks again

Well, I'm sorta bumping this bc of no reply. Just to be on the safe side (for getting an inspection) I went and bought a universal horn button. I assume 1 +12V wire, horn wire goes in one, and it should be grounded. Is that right? This is very similar to what I got
