Default Drum or Disk Brake Booster?

I got my break booster from Advance Auto Parts and I am having a problem getting it in. I think it should just fit right back in but it's fighting me. With some prying and forcing I was able to get it partiacly and I am in the middle of tightening the bolts to try and 'pull' it in with force. It seams like the middle rubber shart part is too wide for the hole andit doens't look like the brake booster rod (with the hole) that connectsto the brake pedalis going to be long enough. I am thinking it's the wrong one and maybe they sent me a booster for disc brakes and I have drums. Does anyoneknow the diffetence between the twoso I canbe sure?I have spent two hours fighting this and am about to go nuts... Thanks, Scott

Default RE: Drum or Disk Brake Booster?

is your car an original power brake setup or are you converting to the pwr setup?

if converting, you'll have to enlarge the hole in the firewall , best I can describe you have to take off about 3/4" on the top, the width isn't the problem just that the hole for a manual brake setup w/ the MC bolted direct to the firewall is a little too low
