Default Power Steering Control valve leaking

My Control valve is leaking right where the hoses connect, its almost as its seaping through the threads, anyone had this problem or know how to seal it up? Its a brand new control valve too.

Put some teflon tape on the lines and put them back on

Geez, there sure have been a lot of threads on the various Mustangs boards lately about this problem, especially with new valves.

It is a new repro valve, not a rebuilt, right? Is it a Flaming River control valve? Brass seats?

The threads on the fittings do not seal the hose, so no use applying any sealer or Teflon tape. The metal flare at the end of the hose tube seals against the tapered fitting inside the ports of the valve. Obviously, the hoses are not sealing to the seats.

Depending on what you have, it could be several things:
All the new valves I have seen use brass seats instead of aluminum like the originals. I think they are harder to seal against just because they are not as soft as the aluminum ones.
Did you install new hoses? If you used old hoses, could be the flares are damaged and won't seal to the seats properly, especially if they are brass seats.
It is sometimes hard to get the hose seats to seal on a control valve, even is the best of conditions. The Flaming River valves seem to be worse about this that original units.
