Default help with back light glass install

Well, the windshield went in easy enough. It was harder to put the rubber on the glass than it was to install the damn thing. BUT, the rear glass is being impossible. It seems there is less room to pull the rubber through. The glass and rubber seem to big for the opening. Would it be better to lay the glass(with rubber) onto the pinch seem and try to pull the lip in with a curved object rather than pull it through with the rope? I am using soapy water but I can't even get the rope started because there isn't enough room.

[ol][*]-install rubber around glass(do not use a silicone or anything to get it to slide better, just put it on)[*]-put a rope in the little channel on the inside part of the rubber. start from the bottom and go all the way around leaving enough on each end to grab onto[*]-lay the glass up against the car and get it centered. make sure the rope is accessible from inside the car. if you can, try to nestle the bottom lip onto the window frame[*]-get inside the car and grab onto the rope. Keep the rope up tight to the glass and always pull toward the center of the glass. You'll need someone to push down on the rear light while you pull the rope out.[*]-once all the rope is pulled out, slap the glass with your hand to get it to go down in place. Dont use too much force or else you'll break the glass. [/ol]
Try that, I got it fromthe FAQ section...I have to reinstall mine this weekend so report back what you did to get it in. Thanks.

I got it in! I feel like a DA but I had the rubber on backward. As recessed as the glass is I thought the big rubber lip on the bottom faced outward. Not the case, it goes inward. I fooled with that damn thing for hours trying to figure out how to get it in. After I turned the rubber around it was in within 3 minutes. I also received all my trim in the mail today. I hope to get her all cleaned up, licensed, and insured by the weekend for a cool cruise

I installed the trim last night. About froze my damn fingers off doing so. It's been snowing for two days now. What the hell happened to spring!
I polished the trim I received from e-bay. I used a stainless polish with 000 steel wool. I then polished it on my bench grinder with the buffing wheel. It looks new now. I just have to say that it looks SWEET! I was going to do the front today but the snow won't stop.
I do have to say one thing. I read a post where someone had mentioned putting the trim clips on before the rubber. I wish I had. What a pain in the ****. I had to use two flat heat screw drivers to hold the rubber out of the way then tap the clip on with another. I hope it stops snowing for the weekend so I can work on her.
