Default Brake booster problem...HELP.

I just purchased a powerbrake boosterand for some reason the rod that connects to the brake pedal is about two inches to short. It says that it's for drum brakes which I have but I don't know what to do. any ideas?

I posted a response to your first thread - was your car power or manual brakes before?

It's original power brakes. The original brake booster had a vacuum leak,I'm just trying to put in a new one. I did have to increase the hole in the firewall like you said but the set up on this new one is supposed to be the same as the old one. I think I need this http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/ite...p?T1=A21161+01 but I'm not converting to manual brakes... I don't get it.
