just don't get less than a 3 row all of the mustng vedors have them as do other parts stores I got mine 5 years ago from pepboy and have had no problems.

Thanks guys for the help. I am thinking that the 3 row is a little thicker, but I hope not so thick that there are clearance problems with the fan. Everything under the hood is stock.

I'll check the locally to see what is available for the coolant tank.
No, the three and four row copper/brass radiators will fit just fine without any alterations to your rad support bracket. As far a adding something to stop up a leak, you are just lengthening the time it takes for the radiator to develop another leak in another spot even if the snake oil works for the first leak. Just get a new radiator.

As for fan clearance if memory servers me right you don't have to change the fan spacer until you go to a 4 row.
