Default ignition still

still cant figure out whats up with my ignition. all i did was switch out the starter. install a single wire alternator. and now there is no ignition. is it possible that the old three wire alternator had a ground for the ignition?

The one wire alternator wire goes to the + side of the Solenoid. Now, start tracing the wires from the Solenoid to see where they go. Do you have a wire from the solenoid to the Coil?

Ok...track back over what you did. Are all the wires hooked correctly to the solenoid? Did you reverse the S and I posts? Did you connect your battery back up? Ground back up?
