motor maitenance

i just fired my motor for the first time in a year. what should i put in my gas tank to clean it out, change oil, other fluids?

If it's been a full year, it might be a good idea to drain that gas tank and put some fresh gas in there if you didn't put some StaBil in the tank when you stored it. You also need to change the oil and filter. Now, since summer is upon us, I would suggest you change the radiator fluid too. Check your master cylinder to make sure you have a full brake fluid level. Check the tension on your belts and check your rad hoses for cracks. If it was stored in a barn or somewhere where rats and other rodents could get to it, then check your spark plug wires and other electrical wires for the telltale chew marks. Air up your tires to about 28psi.

I have a drain plug on mine, so I just unscrew it and drain the gas into a funnel into empty milk jugs. If you don't have a drain plug, you just need to siphon out as much as you can through the filler tube.
