Default disk brake conversion

I have a 65 that I am deep in restoring. I am trying to find a reasonably priced disk brake conversion. I dont know why but my brake petal in the car says dick brake but I have drums front and rear. What cars can I take the spindles off of to convert over? I would also like to find rear disks too if possible but they arent a high priority.

Should be able to do the swap without changeing spindles as long as you are 5 bolt right now.

You can do the Granada front disc conversion if you are looking for something economical. Dennis gives discounts to members from this website.

James' website is chock-full of super helpful stuff too!

You can try something like this too. It uses your stock spindles. http://www.mustangdepot.com/OnLineCa...brake_conv.htm An upgrade to a dual bowl master cylinder is a good idea too.

Look at the bottom of the page to the link I sent you. All those kits work with V8 spindles. The Granada swap is cheaper but you will be scrounging parts for awhile. One of these kits will be bolted on and running in a day. It will depend if you want inexpensive or quick and easy.

I am not in too much of a hurry. I am almost done making myself a rotissery, so I am getting ready to remove the front and rear end to flip it over and take care of the undercarriage.

I just finished the Granada brake swap and they look great and stop way better than those drums. The pedal effort is so easy now andmy 67 coupe stops so much better now. Itwasn't to bad to find all of the parts if your up for it. There are many websites you can look at but if you want just send me a message with any questions concerning the swap.
