How much Horsepower and Torque is enough? For me, I like Torque over HP.

Enough? good question,,,

A person for sure has too much when he or she can no longer put the power to the pavement. Horsepower withoug traction is useless!!!

very proud of my 289 stock torque and if I had the option to add either HP or torque i'd go for more torque
have to be careful with my I6 rear though
** bl00dy not getting an appointment in garage til after easter to fix my rear [:@]

i never pushed it really hard. a few wheel hops but never a burn-out.
But I can only guess what the previous owner did with the car. From what the tires looked like he had a lot of fun with this setup.

I was very lucky as JMD was nice to send me over a good 66.000 mile rear (pionion and gear). I bought all bearings and races.
I hope to have them fixed by mid April (garage)

For me a 9" or 8" rear is not an option as the parts with shipping and all addons (wheels, tyres, brakes) will cost more than half of what the car is worth I'd guess
... i don't even want to know what a shipping from Currie will cost to Ireland ....

+1 on torque over hp. My 1990 5.0 was by far my most fun mustang. It may not have all the hp of a new one, but all that torque made it so much more fun to drive.

Anyone know how much power a 1965 cruise-amatic transmission is good for??? I've got the origional automatic in thereand I'd rather not blow it up.
