Engine Ground Location?
I'm in the process of reassembling a '66 Coupe with a 289 and automatic transmission.
Could you tell me where the ground wires to the engine attach? From the photos I've seen it looks like the stud for the coil on the front passenger side is a common ground, but the end of myalternator ground is too small for that. And where does the engine ground to the body?

I've got my negative cable bolted to the lower right of the block. There is also a ground strap from the rear of the right head to a bolt on the body just above and to the side of the heater blower motor.
The battery ground hooks up right under the alternator. The other little ground strap is just to the right of the heater motor and hooks up to the rear of the engine.

I made 2 ground cables from #2 welding cable by soldering solid copper 'I' type connectors and bolting them from the block to the chassis on each side of gthe engine. I then ran my negative battery cable to the block. 20 years and no ground troubles.
