Gas Line & Gas Filter
See for yourself. I do not have a filter at the carb and I have an Autolite 2100.

You are correct but, in addition to the in-line see through filter that someone added to your car, you have a filter on your fuel pump in the canister that screws on to the bottom of it. The canister filter provides filtered fuel to the carburetor. Ford did away with the canister filters around 68 and went with the carburetor mounted screw-in type.

your setup is wrong soaring you should have a filter that screws into the carb and not that fitting

p.s. Stock, there is no filter before the pump, only a screen on the sending unit to keep any large particles from getting through.
65 Mustangs had a canister filter at the pump, 66 on required a separate filter that screwed into the carb. In normal driving, those work fine if replaced periodically. Some where in here someone asked about the glass bodied type. I've used them for several years in off-road applications. If installed with some common sense, they don't get broken and work very well.

I have a bigger filter (looks like soarings) right before my fuel pump to collect all the big chunks, and then I have one of those glass reusable ones in between my fuel pump and the carb to collect smaller particles. I can see stuff in the glass filter so I think its wise to run a duel filter setup. Also the edelbrock carb i'm running requires a filter between the pump and the carb or else the warrenty is void.

Anybody have any thoughts on why having two filters (one before and one after the pump) is a bad idea? Overly restrictive gas flow, perhaps? Or maybe redunancy is only a good thing as long as filter changes aren't neglected?
