I guess the 64 1/2 is a different setup than the 66? If it were the same I would send you what I have. I have a new signal switch/horn contact that came with the car, and all of the goodies to make the horn button and signals function.

By reading the posts, I guess the 66 unit wont work though.

I do have the wheel and everything, but it is the wrong color and it is cracked about the same as yours.

figured this one now ....
I looked at every picture I could find in any catalogue. And I believe I have it now.
66GTKFB you were right with the relay. it's smoked. My testing was wrong, but I have it right this time.
As well I miss the brush that goes into the 64 steering

I measured through the whole lot and tested and I guess that's it now. Off to order parts.

I can write a 64 horn troubleshooting guide. would anyone be interested in that ?

Hey Soaring, thanks very much !!!
i figured that the 1964 have a complete different hiorn setup. the wheels are not interchangeable.
when I read about the brush that they seem to use I found a little hole in my steering wheel. in my first picture just before 6 o clock.
that's where this missign brush goes. They should act as a contact like the ones you have in the 65 steering.
Finally I know now what the 65 steering wheel looks like (and the horn ring for that matters).

thanks again.
