Default radiator question

I want to order a new radiator for my 67' 289. there are 2, 3, and 4 row radiators. I know that the more rows it has the better it cools. but is it worth the extra money for more rows. Any sugestions?

Depends how hot it gets where you live and the power output of your engine...

The number of rows can be confusing. A 3 row has wider ribs, whereas the 4 row has more ribs, but are closer together. I personally have a 4 row on my 65 289, but would not hesitate to get a 3 row. The best radiatiors are the Griffin brand aluminum ones, and the two row will cool your car just fine. Aluminum dispenses the heat more than the copper core.

Yes, it all depends on where and how you use your engine. As to say for my needs I need the best and more cool is better for me since I am on a 429 and it will see the track alot.

I'd say unless your running in extremely hot weather or are running alot of timing and compression then I don't see why a factory 2 row radiator wouldn't be enough.

I would go with the 3 row just in case you want to add so goodies. If you car has lots of goodies, go with the aluminum.
