Default Carb rebuild

Ok dumb **** alert here my carb need a rebuild cause some dumbass spread it with carb cleaner....But when taking it part maybe i missed it and it fly across the room but the needle retainer was missing what effect would this have? and how does it look fitted Also the rebuild kit is made by hygrade and the economizer valve looks different any body else seen this? does this cause a problem?The float is also different but no big problem in my eyes,

Yes, you need that needle retainer spring in order for the needle to work properly. Find it, or wait another two weeks for a new rebuild kit to arrive from the U. S.

Glen, cheers had a spare with the kit so no biggy, just found a few differences in the kit compared to the parts on the car, different type of econmiser valve, smaller umbralla valve, smaller needle and different needle valve seat (I just used the old one as i couldn't get the other one out!!!) gaskets needed cutting to fit on the ....proper name escaspe me now but were the ball bearing sits with the two ring in middle of carb. Now to set the dry float need to check workshop manual couldn't find it in the haynes and then back to the car!! Hopefully the shop manual will have the wet float as well.
