I'm new to the Mustang world, and I maybe getting a 1965 Coupe but I was hoping you guys could help me determine a value on the car. I'm not new to cars or boards, I do all the work on my other cars a 1997 Jeep Wrangler and a 1976 911. I even do the valve adjustments on the 911 which can be a super huge pain to get right. Anyways, here is what I know on the car I am considering getting.

1965 Mustang Coupe
Non matching # car
302 w/ 4 barrel/Alum intake
C4 auto tranny
Flowmaster headers and exhaust
Converted to disc on all four corners now has dual master cylinders
No rust
New shocks and springs F/R
15X7 wheels tires have 75-80% tread left
New carpet and other interior pieces.
Paint is not excellent

I've seen pictures, but I've not seen the car in person. Can you guys give me an estimated value? Also can you tell me what to look for in this particular car? Any issues that the 65 had that other years didn't? I'd like to use this car as my DD, I only drive between 35-50 miles a day, if that.

Just looking for pointers/tips/pitfalls before I pull the trigger.

 

impossible to say without pics and more detail on condition of interior and body, floors, frame rails, gas tank, cowl vents. Sounds like a $6-8k car to me. That is if the 302 is stock spec in good running condition and tranny shifts fine etc....real hard to say without detail, but a 10k coupe with no real performance mods except for brakes would have to be in 8 out of 10 condition in my book
