Resetting the odometer by hand?
I want to reset the odo to 0 miles with my new engine. I know some people on here are going to say that's not the best thing to do. I've searcheda bit, and I've seen a couple of posts from people who said that they did it by hand spinning the digits, but none explaining how. If I sit there with an electric drill I'll be there for days. Can anyone tell me how to do it by hand?
I did this to my speedo, but i had to replace it and the alt guage in the dash,so i had the speedo completely out of the instrument panel. Once i had it in my hand i simply rolled the numbers by hand to zero.

1. Jack up the rear tires, one tire will do if you dot have a limited slip.
2. Put the car into reverse, raise the throttle, and let the wheels turn backwards for a while.
3. Start kicking the sh** out of the front of the car untill it falls off of the jack, and races over a cliff, (I forgot to mention earlier, the car needs to be ---very close to a cliff).
4. You are done.

I know how to do it cause I saw it on a movie:

Great movie! I made a reference to it in an earlier post.

Back on topic... +1 for the toothpick idea. Be careful not to break or bend any of the little tabs though.
