electrical problem '66 any help???
i drive it everyday and i started it one day adn drove it for 15 min turned it off and the battery had nothing. i am thinking either alternator or somethign else if you have any ideas let me knwo thanks...
I would start by checking the simplest first. Clean and check the battery terminals for corrosion. The wellness of the battery would be next. Then theregulator and alternator. Goodluck.
when the engine is running, pull of the minus cable of the battery. if the car turns off, you have proof it's not charging.
Let us know what happens and we'll go from there

Listen to Kalli,, I had the same problem and ended up changing the alternator, voltage regulator, and then realized that my alternator wasnt hooked up exactly right.. But Kalli knows his stuff when it comes to electrical problems with mustangs..
