65 starter
hey all.im having a bit of trouble with the starter on my newly rebuilt 289 4-speed.i bought the car as a non-running box of parts and there was no starter included.I picked up a starter at autozone,put it in the car and it worked the first few times then started grinding the flywheel teeth.When I took it out I could see that it was only engauging the very edges of the flywheel teeth,which it rounded off.The starter from autozone was in a messed up box and looked like someone had tryed to install it but it was the only one they had so i bought it anyway(dumb).Did I get a bum starter or could it be my freak of a 160 tooth(c30e-6380b)flywheel needing a different starter?????Thanks for any help Al
