paint choice
I have a 66 GT coupe real clean and solid and complete. Restored about 15 years ago and painted red. Well time to redo. (I get bored easy and working on the cars keeps me from aggrevating my wife). Original color is Sauterne Gold. I am thinking about using this color but doing some type of two tone to brighten up the car a little. I really don't like the color if the entire car is the gold, kind of boring. Any suggestions on a scheme and any suggestions on contrast color would be cool. I know, some will say take it bone stock. Goal is to respect the original nature of the car but make it a little more attractive to the eye. Thoughts
I believe my gold 65 came from the factory with a black vinyl top. You may try that.
You could also do gold on the sides and black on the hood, trunk, roof, and pillars.
Having had one for around 15yrs, I agree that you shouldn't do the whole car in gold...I'm probably going with red with gold stripes before long.

May be reverse Hertz, other than that i would keep it one colour other than the le mans strips imo

ive seen the regular hertz paint on a 67 coupe and it looked pretty badass. I don't think there is anything wrong with doing it on yours. Just don't be going around saying its a hertz...lol
