Manifold Selection
I imagine there have been some polls on this but here is my setup. 65 mustang coupe. 69' 351W - .040 over - original 60cc heads but ground for 1.94 valves port and polished- stock crank/rods - KB Hypers (151) - Comp Cams 280H, lifters, roller tip rockers. The engine was originally raced and had a Holley Street Dominator on it. Manifold is probably at least 20 years old. It previously was built w/ approx. 12:1 comp domed pistons and a Comp Cams 305. I found old time slips from the drag strip from 1984 and it turned low 11's and 117mph on some nitrous. I wanted a sleeper with a more manageable comp. ratio and some sort of street manners and the KB's put me at about 10.5:1.
This is my first Ford build up so am looking for input on the Street Dominator with this setup. I kind of like the nostalgic presentation of it, and do not plan any hard core strip use, just some occasional runs at some nostalgia shows. I have also seen some decent torque an HP readings from a Weiand 7515, which I think has been around for a while. Have also heard a Victor may be good match for this setup. Anyone have some suggestions on these? Or good experience with a similar street setup. Hear about Edelbrocks all the time and was curious if anyone has experienced some comparisons of these others.
Thanks

The best running 289 I ever had was with that street dominator and a 600 Holley. That manifold is hard to beat for overall power. You may lose a little low end compared to the dual planes, but it will make better HP on the top end by a wide margin.
