Ford used 6 different manual transmissions for 1967 of two different types, the 3.03 three speed and a 4 speed top loader. The only other designation used were for application, 6cy, 289 and 390- (3 speed) RAN-S, RAN-D, RAT-N and (4 speed) RUG- E, RUG-N, RUG-M. These were used on all models.

Cheers jim, the box has been sitting in the workshop of around a year, and i have the task to strip it down and rebuild it, i also need to find a new shifter for this gearbox, it is the 4 speed toploader, but other then that i don't have its designation, do you know a company or shop i can get in contact with, bear in mind i'm in Australia, which probably makes the job alittle harder.

Thanks for the help mate

just order a hurst shifter from summitracing.com or jegs.com you could probably go to your local parts shop and tell them you need a hurst shifter for a ford toploader and they can get you one...its around 290 american dollars...

As far as I know, David Kee is the best toploader guy in the United States. Contact him for information.
