were is the problem to short or not wide enough? there was a similar thread a bit ago so a search maybe in order. Mine was to short so I jacked up and put axle stands under the lower arms got the bolts in at angle and very slowly tightened them over a long time span.

If you got the Monte on without a problem, you will have no issues getting your export brace on. Take a look at mine to see how it goes on. The secret is to put the bolts on the cowl very loosely started, then get the shock tower nuts on loosely, then start tightening them all down.

I had my motor hanging from the frame a week for other work. Then, if I remember I bolted in the shock tower bolts loosely ,then got two bolts to loosely fit on the firewall . Used two undersized bolts to draw down firewall connection as I tighten the standard bolts then installed the other two bolts. Volla!!!
An export brace is many times the strenght of the orginal equipement.

my export brace wouldnt fit between my shock towers, so i cut the front end off at the firewall and built a new one, maybe it was because my car got hit on the front end and it was twisted all to hell [&:]

Thanks for the link, I wasn't sure about the shock tower. Export brace went with out a hitch.

Now for the upper and lower arms

Replacing the upper and lower arms isn't that bad. Las fall I replaced most of the suspension on my project 68 Coupe, and I'm not the most mechanically inclined person. Don't worry about it; you'll do fine. If you have any problems, just post on this site.

Do I really need to drill into my inner fender to install the Monte Carlo bar? If so, will I need to take of the fender in order to get some nuts/washers to the bottomside? I feel stupid asking this . ..
