The Navy (and Air Force too for that matter) uses walnut shells to 'clean' the turbo-prop engines on P-3 Orions, C-130 Hercules and probably every other turbo-prop in their inventory. We benefit from the materials and techniques developed by the Military all the time.

hey guys whats up im the new guy around here just seen you all were talking about soda blasting. well that is what type of business im in. if you want the job done right that is the way to go. leaves it smooth and no warpingof the metal, sand does cut a little better, but like they have all said you cant get it out of the cracks.your not going to get much out of those small units. mine was around 10k or a little better and it will do anything and does a great job. as for the cost of blasting cars and trucks for prices they are mostly around 650.00 range thats everything. if you guys need answers or anything let me know i might be abls to help.thanks chris
