Default Welding help

I cant seem to get my plug welds to hold i am trying to weld my new fender aprons on to the frame. At first i thought it was the weld through primer so i sanded it off. Still nothing i will fill the plug hole with my mig welder and i will wait then pop ! the weld come right off the frame WTF is wrong?

Are you using gas or flux core? Make sure the gas is on. Make sure you have the heat up high enough and the wire speed adjusted right 3 - 4 setting for both and work from there. You should wind up with a nice circle on the back side that will tell you there is good penetration. Start there and see how it goes. Jason

Practice your welding on some scrap metalwith higher current, aka heat like jaw66 said, until you get it right.

Yeah, quit fuggin around practicing on the fender well. Get some old computer covers and practice on them. If you are burning holes and not welding, then the heat is too high. Not welding or unable to strike a spark, then heat is too low. Get the gas ane wirefeed set right and practice, practice, practice.
