Default 1967 Door Lock problem

I'm nearing the end of my 67 coupe restoration, and after putting my locks handles, and lock lift in the door, I find that when the door is shut, the lock lift "hangs" and won't come back up all the way. I have to reach inside the door (I haven't put the door pads back on yet), and trigger the lock from the inside. Both sides now do it, they didn't before I started the work. If I reach in there and hold the internal parts steady, it won't do it. It feels like the whole assembly is a little loose in there, but I don't feel any screws to adjust and the drawings don't show a screw to tighten. Until I fix this, I can't lock the car............

Any help is appreciated.

Default 1967 Door Lock problem

if you find out, let me know what the problem is, our '67does about the same thing, when it's locked the only way to get it unlocked is to pull up and down on the lock **** about6 times and you can hear it pop up all the way, doesn't unlock with the key. so far this only happens on the drivers side though
