Default Clutch Cable Help

So i got the modern driveline t-5 conversion package. I recently installed SSBC disc brakes on the car with the standard 9 in brake booster. My question is has anyone used the clutch cable with a brake booster. Does it fit fine, or will modifications need to be made.

Default RE: Clutch Cable Help

I can't help you with the '69 specifically, but I don't think it would work on a 65/66. I'm assuming that you currently have an automatic transmission and are doing the swap to the T-5, correct? If so, look for the punchout on the firewall for the clutch pedal to equalizer rod and see if it clears your brake booster. I'm guessing it does not and that the booster itself may even be obscuring the hole. Anyway, I believe the Modern Driveline clutch cable utilizes the existing clutch rod hole, so if it blocked by the booster you'll be out of luck.

I don't know if a smaller booster will help or not, you'll have to measure and see. On the 65/66, to fit around the brake booster, I think you'd have to go to a cable setup like Mustang Steve's which relocates the cable just below the top of the cowl, above the booster.

Good luck!
