If I were to replace the original seats, it would be with Ricaro seats. That will never happen though due in most part because of the expense. Thsi seat is over two thousand dollars.

Actually I have to -1 the Recaro seats.

I have had a few friends that have had them and I have found them all to be lacking in the comfort department. They are OK, but for the money, I want it to feel like a mink glove on my behind.

I don't like mushy seats. Myeasy chair is leather and very little padding. I enjoy the 65 seats and never get a tired butt while driving it, and these Ricaro's are firm as well. Soft, mushy seats give me a lower back pain. The ones in the Mach are really good seats. They are firm and have the lumbar support thing.

There should be a kit to make our factory 69 seats recline... That would solve the problems of discomfort.. But anyway,, Do the newer mustang seats fit the original holes,, and how much leg clearance do you get between the seat and the steering wheel.. Im 6ft 2.. and its already a little squeeze getting in and out..

Running Procar Elites in my 65. These are from Summitt. Dense foam, black vinyl that matches my interior, and they sit lower that than most aftermarket seats...much like the original 65 seats.

I got the ProCar Rally's. The interior room is less with these seats that with the original ones...but the tradeoff in comfort and keeping me from sliding around is worth it. Still at some point I will section and move back the drivers seat pan.

Love the ProCar's. Summit has the best price. Moving the seat base back offers much needed legroom for us 6'2" fellers. The Ellie I moved back (with custom mounts) so far I can extend my legs all the way with no knee bend at all. No room for backseaters though, but who in going to be back there anyway.
