Default Seats for your stang

I was thinking about buying new foam and seat covers for the front seats to my 69' and what just got me wondering right now is...why don't I just replace the intire seat? I don't know how comfortable ur seats are but, last time I drove that car on a long distance trip, it started to get really uncomfortable. I can't recline the seats back at all which sucks! Any ideas?

The guy I bought my Stang from has just done that to his ride and it looks sweet if original is what you are after.

I have procar buckets in my car. (68 Convertible) They are nice but I sit pretty high now. Since I have a convertible I can't lower the seat pan because it is a one piece unit that extends the width of the car. If I had a coupe or fastback I would use these seats again but lower the seat pan. I took the rear in to an upholstery shop to recover in a pattern that matches the procars. $275 to cover but it will look sweet.

I came across a set of the one-piece high backs out of a 72 or 73 Mustang and they bolted right into my 67. Perfect fit and comfortable. Also took the shoulder harness out of the same car and installed it into the fastback.

How did you attach the shoulder harness to the roof?

I bought a set of 2002 Mustang seats off Craigslist (www.craigslist.org) and adapted them to fit into the stock seat rails in the '65. You'd like them A LOT - very comfortable. Oh - and the best part was I got them both for $200.

The mounting hole is there from the factory. Get the shop manual and it will show you the location of the mounting hole.
