68 Torino
i am currently building a 66 fairlane 2 door race car to run in the Nascar Grand National Sportsman series at the nashville fairgrounds aka music city motorplex for the late 2007 and full 2008 seasons, it will look like a total throwback to the fred lorenzen fireball roberts and junior johnson cars and sport the number 27, i have the fiberglass body parts, an illegal as heck engine that appears legal, and a few other goodies
i mean i gotta keep up my winning percentage i had in scca and super stocks...picks to come soon after i get the roll cage installed and the car painted...

I was watching on Speed Channel and there was a guy from Holman Moody I believe it was and he was explaining how the fastback Torino came to fruition.
He explained that Ford wanted to go with a coupe for NASCAR, because according to their logic, they believed that it would be more aerodynamic than a fastback design.
The fellow explained toFord that "You can go ahead and think that but that isn't the way it is going to be".
They went on to design and build the Torino fastback in their shopand then showed it to Ford.Ford was duely impressed with what they saw and put it into production.

the 68 and 69 torinos are the best ones imo. we got a 69convertible390- 4 speed that thing is straight up nasty. they are boats though. my dad has had 5 of those gen torinos its ridiculous.
