Okay, here is the debate. The first photo is the rear flex hose where it meets the intermediate brake line. It seems to me, and all that I have researched (KAR's website, etc...) that the flex hose is exactly where the exhaust tubing would go. It and the bracket it is attached to would need to be moved farther to the left. Hence the new lines, flex hose and rear axle line. The second picture is from the front looking backwards.

Again, I took about a dozen photos, but with the giant single muffler hanging in the way, it was the best I could do.

So now I am hearing mixed reviews. Some have not chaged the brake lines and been fine, others have been burnt (literally). Is the quality of the installation and the bending of the tubing the deciding factor?

If you are into Mickey Mouse installations, a hammer is a tool for fine (or coarse)adjustments. As you are using a shop, stand under your car and point out to the welder what you want done, and, as you are paying for the work, how you want it done. Your concerns are part of the task to be done.

Here's a pic of mine. You just have to get a good muffler shop to install it for you. This clearance issue should not be an issue.

Great photo! And that is with the "single exhaust" lines and flex hose still in place right? You didn't change any of the lines and the flex hose? Is that photo taken with weight on the rear axle?

The muffler shop where I had it done didn't touch any brake lines. I took that photo a few minutes ago and there was nothing inside the car. But, even with people in the back seat it obviously doesn't touch the pipe because the hose is not burned.
