Default Squeaky Springs

I replaced the leaf springs on my 65 last summer, and it sure made a difference in how she sits and rides. However, I'm getting a squeaking noise from them now. Could it be that I tightened the shackle bolts when I had her in the air? Should I loosen them, then sit her back on the ground to tighten them? If not, what else???

i had the same problem, but it wasnt my springs the squeaking noise would come from time to time. so the problem may not be ur spring, so check the ball joints like the upper control arm, lower control arm grease em up maybe they're dry thats what happen to me.

It's coming from the back RW, so it can't be the upper control arms or anything else up front. And, it didn't do it until I replaced the rear leafs, which is where the squeaking is coming from. I sprayed silicone on the bushings, and the squeak went away, but returned a few days later. Any other ideas?

If you went to polyurethane bushings, then the squeaky sound is 'normal'. Otherwise, I have heard of 'anti-squeak pads' that are part of the spring assy near the clamps where the shorter/lower leaf(s) end on either side...if you know what I mean.
