Default A Good Weekend

Had a nice productive weekend, We got the engine compartment painted, everything under the car painted, and we have the engine ready to go in. YEA

I am having an issue with the release arm/throwout bearing though. I thought I had the right stuff, but the way I have it now, the throwout bearing is no where close to a position to allow the throwout bearing to dis-engage the clutch. There is about an inch of space between the TOB and the diaphram fingers.

I have a question foranyone out therehas installed one of these lakewood scattershields,I need to know what clutch fork and throwout bearing to use because what I have ain't makin it!

Sorry, I don't have any experience with manuals yet. But I must say that you have an awesome setup there. That baby is going to boogie!

Are you using the stock linkage or a cable linkage? The diaphragm pressure plates are not as tall as the original, long style. With the stock linkage, you may have to space the pivot point up a bit to help bring the geometry back into shape. If you're using the cable setup, likewise, you may need the pivot point closer to the pressure plate which is easily done with a longer, aftermarket pivot.

You can use the stock clutch release lever for your application. If you have a cable setup, you may have to lengthen the arm 1/2" to get the geometry correct. BTDT with some guidance from Mustang Steve.
