Default Power Steering Slave Bracket

My bracket has ripped off the rail on my 66.I cant drive the car and the weather is beautiful!
Has anyone ever replaced one? I bought a new bracket, slave cylinder and hoses.I also bought the hex shaped crush nuts-not sure if the new piece of steel that is welded onto the rail can be modified to except the hex nuts-HOW DO YOU drill a hex shaped hole? The Rail is going to take some patching/welding. Its pretty bad !

I guess this is a case where every problem is a little different because of how much of the rail came offand where it ripped off, but any suggestions?
Thanks Scott

This bracket is bolted to the framerail from the factory, not welded. It sounds like it is pretty boogered up now and will require some fabrication to rebuild it with some plate. One you get that redone and reinforced, I'd just weld the bracket on. You can always cut if off later if need be.

I am planning to weld on the new steel plate and then use the old bolt coming across (1bolt)and either welding or bolting the bracket upwards (2 bolts)tothe new plate.
