i was reading i belive car craft and they said that they take the cleavand heads and put it on the windsor block now from what i read the 4v heads from the cleavland is it a overhead cam or dose it use the stock windsor cam location if so how do they get the extra 2 lifters im just thinking about it from pictures maybe im just wrong if someone could clear it up for me thankyou aslo if you know how to do it at home im looking to try to build it at home

I believe that there has already been a very long thread on the cleavor engine on here. Go to search and check it out to see if it is still there.

4v refers to 4 venturi as in a 4 barrell carb, but yeah im not trying to be mean but you probly should just stick to the basics till you learn some more about the cars and engines...

no he is talking about the heads, theres a 4V design and a 2V design

to answer our question there isnt 2 extra lifters, and its not an overhead cam, its a single cam with pushrods

superdavid id go with aftermarket heads they weight less and flow better and no drilling order a special intake manifold or gaskets

then how do they get the extra valve i had reread the article today (good use of my parents tution money there huh) and they used 3v heads

i know theres not a cam in the head case i have a 351C with 4v heads and theres no cam in there

the difference betwee 2v, 3v, and 4v isnt the number of valves, they all had 2, just the higher it went, the bigger the valves were, 4v obviously having the biggest
