how do you guys...
find out what cam to choose for your engine? I am going to get my 289 rebuild and i want a loopier cam that can give me that muscle car sound, but something reliable because it a daily driver.
What carb / intake manifold / exhaust will you have after the rebuild? If you want to keep it stock and take one step up then this is a cam that will increase your torque AND gas mileage but will keep it totally streetable.

Don't even waste your money on an OTS cam. Go with a custom cam from http://www.camshaftinnovations.com/
A lopey "muscle car cam" and a daily driver may not go together, depending on the combo. The lope comes from the cam causing ineffecient breathing at low rpm. It depends on how choppy of an idle you want.

Heres my list of performance parts:
-edelbrock performer rpm intake
-holley 570 street avenger carb.
-Msd ignition system
-Flowmaster exhaust
I also plan on getting headers

So what type of cam would get me somewhere close to those examples?
