Has anyone seen or used one of the ebay 9" third members? Most I check are 1200 but the ones on ebay are 500. Sounds fishy but just wanting to know. The ones on ebay use yukon gears and trac lok posi. Don't want to waste my money either way.

I think it is 450 HP, not pounds. There is an upgrade to higher HP that they offer. Still have not heard anything as of this morning. Will keep ya'll posted.

I purchased a center section from tj1141 this past summer. It was a good experience. I have driven the car very little since then but no problems so far. The only problem was that it did not have an oil fill hole. I had to fill it from the vent hole. He said it just slipped through his system. I didn't want to pay for shipping back to have it added so I will live with it.

Yea, I noticed on my 69 that thediff has the fill hole on the third member housing...However, on my 67 the fill hole is in the rear of the axle. That is one thing I will make sure of before I get it...if I can talk myself into getting it.

I still have not heard anything from these guys....I wonder if they even exist. They give a phone number, I may call that to see if I can get some of my questions answered.

Well, I did something better. I contacted the guys who bought a unit from this vendor. Out of maybe 6 that I contacted, only one had something bad to say. I checked his feedback on ebay and he seems to be a complainer no matter what he buys. All, except him, really talked up the third members and were pleased with their purchase. I think I am going to go for it soon.
