What kinda power does a 66 289 mustang have? Im not sure what is done to it, but it sounded pretty beastly.... Im wondering if anyone could share the fastest 1.4 mile time theyve heard of this car doing, etc? anything would help. thanks

 

well 1/4 mile times in old mustangs are pretty slow usually because of loss of traction. im guessing you could have amywhere between 190-230 rwhp with simple mods. thats just a guess though

 

well that would totally depend on what has been done to the motor and the car itself - but the factory 289 Hipo motors were 271 HP if that helps ya

what would u have to do to get a 9000 rpm redline? he says hes pushing 400hp
