rust repair

i have some rust on my front frame rails, do they make pieces to fit this and be welded or do i need to buy some seperate metal and bend and cut to size?

You really need to get a digital camera and take some pictures of the affected area and post those pictures here. Yes, there are parts you can weld there,but we need to know what the current damage is in order to advise further.

Ouch. That's some nasty stuff. I had a 65 coupe months ago that we ditched because fo the rails and ours were similar but at the same time we had nasty rust on the floorboards and torque boxes.

That is major surgery. Take a look at a NPD, Virginia Classic or Texas Mustang Parts and you will find the frame rails. Because of the critical nature of the alignment, I would recomend a frame shop to do the work. They have the fixtures to put it right. It cost me about $1800 to just pull a frame back to specs, replace the radiator support and RH arpron. I would think that your cost may exceed any potential future value of your car.
