Discs for the 67...
Drag an anchor maybe. I really don't know what will happen, but I'm not willing to be the first on my block to try. An adjustible proportioning valve would come to mind but where do you start the experiment - eh, Dr.

I've had this car for almost 3 years, and I've gone through 3 engines, 2 transmissions, and now two rear ends. I've replaced every wire in the car and done a complete audio system and put the current wheels on it. Probably 2 out of every 3 dollars I've made since then has been spent on my Stang.
My money pit is now called a house. I removed the spa, the fence around it, a shed that used to house my hardtop all due to termites. The spa's deck is ok and remains. What I gained is a workshop on the other side of the house where my bead blaster, a rebuildable 289,two 4 speeds and several boxes of hardwarenow live. The termites are a result of 24 years of tinkering with cars.

hey david, why dontcha just swap your old rear drums to the 9" until you can afford to do the front discs? Should bolt straight on anyway.
A lot cheaper and easier than screwing around with proportioning valves etc trying to get the thing to stop with the discs on the back.
Mind you, i'm not convinced that if you leave everything else alone and just put discs on the back that they will be any more effective than the orig drums, so you might even get away with it...just pick a quite street to try it, not one of your rice burning escapades

Im looking at getting a Granada with drums in the rear and discs up front. From what others have said it should be easy to swap what I got on my car (all drums) with the Granada. Thats going to be my major safety upgrade until I get it actually on the road, then Ill spend for the discs in the rear. Bad idea? Yes no?
If you want original 4-piston calipers and not Granada parts, check out http://www.chockostang.com/ You might also want to check out http://www.stainlesssteelbrakes.com/
