But the cobras are available to the public, that's why this one is so expensive, because they weren't meant for public sale. I'd still get the Cobra though, you never know who drove that GT-H.

As far as I know, they stopped making Cobra Mustangs. Do you mean the Shelby GT500?

I agree that the price for the Shelby GT-H is absolutely ridiculous. I could get a slightly used Saleen that will go faster, handle better, and has a stick for less money (saw an '06 with 7,000 miles a couple of months ago for $41k and I'm sure they would have come down quite a bit from that price). Why would I want a used rental car with an auto?

I completely agree. People usually don't treat rental cars too kindly, especially cars with 325 hp.

I'm glad I got my 32 valve Mach before Ford quit making them and started making 24 valve versions.

No one knows who held stock before them but they still purchase it. The buyer isn't going to drive that car...it's an investment.

Investing in something like that is risky but there are those that do it habitually. I can't believe what cars go for at some of these classic car auctions, but the truth is after you figure in the time-cost of money, storage, maintanance, taxes, and insurance you have very little chance of making a good return. The only real way to make money on investing in cars is to have a good knowledge of what cars are worth and the time and resources to locate the right car, buy it right, then sell it right. A good mechanic/restorer might make wages if you buy cars right and do a proper restoration but again this takes a huge amount of knowledge. You have to not only know what cars to buy, but to what degree to restore/refurbish them to make them attractive to buyers.

I do not have any of this knowledge!!

I agree with you guys, that GT-H is just a regular gt with some gold stripes. I think the cobras and saleens are much better looking. Now I don't know about you guys but this GT-R is a lot better looking if you ask me!
