Default Removed CA Emmision, Help!

Hi All,

I am rebuilding my 289 and I decided to remove all of the CA emmision stuff (don't need it in my state). I took all of the stuff off and I am left with 8 threaded holes near the exhaust manifolds. I figured that I could just plug them. Has anyone done this, and do you know what size of thread this is?

Thanks
Dom

I have one engine with the Ford blank replacement air injector plugs ($8 each)and a set of heads that have plumbing store plugs. Your call.

Yes, I have the calif. emission stuff off my 67. But the holes were already plugged when I got the car. Off the top of my head I am thinking 1/2", but I am not sure.
