Default Quick question on front disc brake upgrade....

So I'm looking to do my first upgrade on the '65 manual convert i just bought... I figure I'd start with brakes... no sense in getting a car that I can't stop well. I'm looking at a SSBC front disc conversion kit. Couple questions:

1. Will I need to do the rears as well? From what I read, prob not, at least for now, but I would like a safe stopping car...
2. Can I do power brakes on the car? It's a manual....I'm a little unclear if thats even a possibility
3. Assuming I can't do power brakes, is there anything else I can do, besides convert the rear drums to disc to help stopping?

Thanks guys, for your help!

You won't need to put discs on the rear. After you get the front manual discs on, then decide about power brakes. I doubt you will need them.

Is it more cost effective, as well as easier, to upgrade to power at the same time?

More cost effective, no. Easier, yes.
