Default Drum to Disc - 14" Rims don't fit.

I upgraded my Mustang to front disc brakes this weekend, and as expected, my 14" rims don't want to go on. I have aftermarket Enkei honeycomb style wheels, so I can see through the rim. Thing is, I can't see what is stopping the wheel from going on. I'm going to John's Mustangs at lunch to buy a set of rims. I need to know what to ask for to make sure I'm getting a rim that will fit. Is there a 14" Magnum that will fit disc brakes? If so, I'd be able to use the almost new tires on my old rims.

What type of discs did you add. I am running the Master power brake kit with my stock 14" steel wheels.

If your running granada swap you will need 15's.

I bought my front disc conversion kit from http://www.chockostang.com/ I know I have an SSBC booster and probably master cylinder, but the rotors and calipers are original Ford Mustang 4-piston caliper brakes. I have no idea what brand they are.

If you purchased the orignial style calipers and rotors the brakes should work with most aftermarket wheels made in the last 20 years. (Thats what MP told me)

Have you been under the car and tried to see why it wouldn't fit?

If you going to buy wheels, I would take some measurements or get them from the supplier first.

When I did mine the calipers were hiting the rim. I changed to 16's.

if you used early FOrd caliper and rotor, the 14 Mag500s should fit over the caliper.
you may have a backspacing issue with your enkei's.

Can you see what is hitting it?

Make sure you specify 14" rims for disc brakes. You may also need a 1/16" or 1/8" spacer.

(I realize these are rear brakes...but it's the only spacer photo I had)

I went with 15" Magnum 500s and forked out an extra $435 for tires. My fears were proven wrong. The wheels look just fine on my Mustang. New pics to follow.
