Lightest stock flywheel.
heres the deal....i need to use a stock flywheel in a performance application and i really need to know which one is the lightest.
the engine is an internally balllances 351w with a 3speed.
i was thinking that the 6 cylinders were unballanced so that would fit my app. but i dont know which one would be the lightest.
if anyone knows this will help out alot.
thanks

why do you need to use a stock one?
We used to machine flywheels to make them lighter and improve resposiveness. And get them balanced anyway, its not expensive to do that.
nowadays people just buy the ones with alum centers
If i were to guess, i'd reckon it would be a fair bet that all the small block flywheels were the same.

thanks...we seem to have the cars to beat in 3 different classes and all have that crazy distributor in the front.....
i dont think anyone really knows how much these stock flywheels weigh but on summit they have the lbs on the billit steel ones. i dont know if 275-325 dollars is worth it though, or honestly even if its legal.
