All the trunk mats Ive seen for Mustangs were either stupid looking plaid or the vinyl looking stuff thats normally on kitchen floors.Do they make anything else?

Yeah, the original trunk covers were black and white plaid. What is your problem with accepting that fact?

If I was going for originality I would go with the plaid cloth but definitly not going to original. Shouldn't some company make a carpet that has the horse logo in the middle?
That one logo with the horse and the fire would look cool!

Well, ya' know. DA Kids think about all this stupid stuff, and come up with all kinds of stupid things to alter these classics. I just get tired of all the alterations to the original classics. Those trunk covers are 1965 vintage. Leave them alone. I could have used stronger language, but not allowed here.

Jeez Soar, why do you get all huffy when someone wants to alter something. The reason I'm not going as close to original as I can is because 1)when I got the car, it was practically a rolling shell and would take alot of time and money to restore to original 2)money (short put) and 3) I already had a good many parts laying around that would work for my 67 but not be "correct" as you may say. I only spent a couple hundred building the engine cuz I had almost all the parts for a 351W in the garage.

Anyways, I doubt everyone likes the old man golfer pants in thier trunk...

Go to a car junk yard ,remove the rubber mat from a newer SUV , from the back of the front seat to the tail gate. they are one piece and cut them to fit your mustang trunk
